About the 2021 Australia 2 oz Piedfort 'Next Generation Series' Silver Platypus (BU)
LSPMEX is excited to announce the fourth release in an all-new series of silver bullion coins from the Perth Mit of Australia. Entitled "The Next Generation" series, each coin in the series will depict a mother and baby of an iconic animal in Australian wildlife. This is a limited mintage edition of only 75,000 coins.
Each two ounce Next Generation silver coin is produced with micro-engraved radial lines for enhanced aesthetics and security. Also, this is the first time the Perth Mint has issued a silver bullion coin with a piedfort design, meaning a coin produced with double thickness and "weight".

Individual coins are shipped in protective flips. Increments of 10 coins are shipped in original Perth Mint tubes. Increments of 100 are shipped in sealed Perth Mint boxes.
Obverse: Depicts the classic QEII bust along with the weight (2 oz), purity (.9999 fine silver), date (2021) and face value ( AUD) of the coin.
Reverse: Depicts the iconic Australian Kookaburra mother and baby together. Designed by Jennifer McKenna.
These silver coins are handled with white cotton gloves and shipped in archival flips or coin tubes depending upon the size of your order. The coin pictured is an example of the one you will receive securely packaged and shipped to you with a tracking number and a confirmation of shipment.
Each of these 2 ounce silver coins are available to you in BU condition. Products in BU condition exhibit no signs of wear and tear, though minor coining flaws are possible such as breaks in the luster, spotted surfaces, and contact marks.
