This rare coin was minted by the Royal Australian Mint as a part of the Fabulous 15 series of silver coins from around the world.
The obverse features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, and the face value amount of 1 AUD.
The reverse has a kangaroo hopping across a barren outback scene, with only a lone windmill breaking up the vast expanse. The top of the field has a frosty like finish which represents a clear, cloudless sky.
